Fishing
Elkhead Reservoir, part of the Yampa River State Park system, is a local area hotspot for warm and cold water species of fish. Fish in Elkhead include smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, crappie, bluegill, northern pike, and channel catfish. Take advantage of year round fishing opportunities, whether casting from the shore or boat during the warm months, or ice fishing in the winter.
